Tess Advogados was founded in 1953 by three attorneys, Eduardo Carvalho Tess, Haroldo Lauro Lippi, and Cantídio Salvador Filardi, who had recently graduated from the University of São Paulo Law School.

The firm’s practice originally focused on civil, business, family, and estate law. Over time, the firm began working in other areas of the law. Today the firm’s practice includes corporate, tax, banking, bankruptcy, and international law.
